I founded Spark Space with one mission in mind: to help organisations get the right people into the right roles, so they can do their best work.

With over 20 years of experience spanning recruitment, resource management, organisational design, and leadership development, I collaborate with leaders and teams to uncover the root of people and culture challenges and co-create solutions that drive meaningful, lasting change.

I'm a certified IECL Organisational Coach, certified SysCAP Organisational Design Practitioner, and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

My approach blends human-centred design thinking with data-driven insight to get to the heart of the issue, fast.

As a consultant, I don’t believe in cookie-cutter advice. My role is to empower: to listen, challenge, guide, and work alongside you to uncover what really works - for your people, your culture, and your goals.

what's in a name?

MY STORY

The name "Spark Space" came to me on a quiet morning walk. I’d been feeling a bit off—my mind was cluttered, so I stepped outside to shake it off and reset. The weather wasn’t much help; it was overcast and dull, matching my mood perfectly.

As I wandered along one of Canberra’s paths, something magical happened. The clouds began to shift, and sunlight broke through. Suddenly, the dull grey path I’d been trudging along lit up, shimmering with tiny sparks of light.

It stopped me in my tracks. Just moments before, everything had felt so ordinary—lifeless, even. But now, with just a simple shift in light, it was breathtakingly beautiful.

That moment hit me hard. It was a reminder that change doesn’t have to be huge to be profound. Sometimes, it’s just about a spark—a small shift in light, energy, or perspective—that turns the mundane into something extraordinary.

The word "spark" started to stick with me. To me, a spark is energy. It’s the start of something—a connection, an idea, an opportunity. It’s where transformation begins.

That’s when the idea for Spark Space was born. I wanted to create a space that captures that same sense of possibility—a place where people can collaborate, create, and build something meaningful. A space where small sparks can grow into big, powerful change.

Spark Space is about more than just ideas; it’s about action. It’s about empowering people to make real, lasting transformations.

Some people pick a word of the year; I've picked a word for life! I love connecting with others, and connecting others to others. It's one of the reasons I was a successful recruiter for 20 years.

Curiosity drives me to hear people's stories. And I'm good at finding out what you can't. Building relationships energises me and I love learning from others. So I've brought these principles into my business. I place people at the heart of everything I do, as I believe that everyone deserves to find joy at work.

COLLABORATION

I've learned over the years is that collaborating with others is not only the most effective way to work, it's the most fun. I started my career in software channel sales, and I've never lost sight of the value of developing true partnerships.

I work with your team, not just for you. If we can't find the answers together, I'll leverage my extensive network, developed over 25 years and I always know someone, who knows someone! The best insights come when more than one head is put to the problem, and this is how I approach my work every day.

ACTION

I'm an action-taker, and I operate with momentum - it's in my blood. Progress and acting purposefully aren't optional for me - they're fundamental. I apply this to my work by designing actionable strategies and solutions to get you where you want to be.
